The Next SPS Concert
The next SPS concert, A Season to Sing, will be on Saturday 14th June 2025 at 3:00pm at St Francis Church, Bournville B30 2AA.
A choral re-imagining of Vivaldi’s enduringly popular The Four Seasons. Composed for 2025 by Joanna Forbes L’Estrange in the 300th anniversary year of Vivaldi’s most famous work, A Season to Sing weaves into these well-loved melodies various texts from poetry and the Bible on the subject of spring, summer, autumn and winter! As one of the 55 international commissioning choirs, SPS is excited to perform this work to celebrate the centenary of St Francis’ Church.

April 2024: The Power of Music
‘The Power of Music’ – a rousing and challenging four section composition by Dennis Pim- bowled me over with its combination of exquisite harmonies and technical excellence.

July 2023: Who Could Ask For Anything More?
Such a good atmosphere as always, and such an enjoyable variety of music. The Pilgrim’s chorus was particularly striking in its great whoosh of powerful sound…amazing what the choir can produce…but so was the technical mastery of Cole Porter and Gershwin by the choir…
